Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP)
(Top)
This organisation based in the United Kingdom has featured in the
disappearance of Madeleine McCann. In
fact, they have a dedicated link to the Findmadeleine website from
their home page. This site endorses the aims of this organisation: "
People
who prey on children whether for personal pleasure or other illegal
gain do it in a way that exploits any possible opportunity. Any
response must similarly be all encompassing. This is the principle
that lies at the heart of the new Child Exploitation and Online
Protection (CEOP) Centre. Launched in April 2006, the CEOP Centre
works across the UK and maximises international links to deliver a
holistic approach that combines police powers with the dedicated
expertise of business sectors, government, specialist charities and
other interested organisations - all focused on tackling child sex
abuse wherever and whenever it happens. (Click

Official
FindMadeleine Website (Top)
On
the 15th May 2007, a company was set up to administer the "official"
find Madeleine campaign. The speed and manner in which this company
was set up further added to the mysteries and speculation. Madeleine's
Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned Limited is the official company name
and this is registered in England at 2/6 Cannon Street, London, EC4M
6YH with the number: 06248215. It is classified as a "PRI/LTD by GUAR/NSC"
Company (Private, limited by guarantee, no share capital) and its
nature of business is defined as (SIC(03)). The company accounting
reference date is 31/March and the first accounts are due on 31 January
2009. The next Company Return is due on 12 June 2008. Three days after the
company was set up, a trademark was registered with the UK
Intellectual Property Office. The trademark (number 2456061) is type "WO"
and is in classes 09, 16, 36 and 41. (Click

McCann Files
(Top)
This
is a good site with nice presentation. What we like best about this
site's philosophy is summed up on its homepage:
"It seems everyone has an opinion. But the
most important aspect of the case remains undisputed:
To find Madeleine and bring her home"

Pamalam's Gerry McCann Blogs
(Top)
Gerry
McCann kept daily blogs for virtually every day spent in Portugal. Pam
was keen enough to make copies of the blogs and set up her own website
to record those and other bits of interesting information about the
case. Well done Pam - this is a lot of hard work. (Click

Anorak Forum
(Top)
This
site which takes a satirical look at the news tabloids has always had
a lively forum which can sometimes verge on the ferocious. The daily
Madeleine section has a great comical summary of the British Tabloid's
views on the case. Worth checking out if only for this summary. (Click

The

disappeared. Paulo lives in Portugal and his close proximity to the
incident as well as his local knowledge has proved an invaluable

SPUDGUN Video (Top)
A forum
blogger by the name of SPUDGUN made a video to express his and other's
disgust at how the McCann case has attracted support from within high
ranks of the British Government. His video is still an excellent
summary of how the McCanns have been cossetted and shielded by people
not normally accessible to the man in the street. (Click

Daily Telegraph UK
(Top)
The
newspapers in the UK have taken a bashing by forum posters and
bloggers. The news is often wrong and many times it is regurgitated
from other sources. Nevertheless, to look back and see key dates and
events in the case, some newspaper's resources are worth checking out.
The Telegraph for instance has a well laid out news archive section on
their website. (Click

News
of the World UK
(Top)
The News of the World offers a
£1,500,000 reward to anyone who finds Madeleine McCann. What is
strange about this generous offer is that there is no mention of a
reward on the official Find Madeleine website. Surely two parents who
want their daughter to be found quickly would want to advertise this
on their own site? (Click
here for the News of the World reward page) |
