MYSTERY GIRL?

Who is the girl sitting on the grass with her back to the camera? It is easy to mistake this girl for Sean's sister Amelie but it can't be her as this girl does not have blonde hair. Who then is the mystery girl at the playground? Was this photo taken on April 28 and not May 2? Click here to read about this puzzle.

TRUTH FOR MADELEINE

This site was created as a one-stop-shop where people can read about the case and find out the known facts without having to trawl through months and months of articles. The objective here is to present factual material with verifiable sources of information. Many articles in the media have been written that say "sources said..." This site will not present any information unless it has named sources.

Since the search for missing Madeleine began, public opinion has largely divided into two groups - the Pro-McCanns and the Anti-McCanns. The reason for this will become clear as you read the evidence. Some people strongly support the McCann family belief that Madeleine was abducted and others think the McCann parents and possibly others were involved in a killing or fatal accident scenario and subsequent disposal of the body of Madeleine.

POLL - Do you think the McCanns killed their daughter?

TONY BENNETT

On Thursday November 15, 2007, retired UK solicitor Tony Bennett (equivalent to a US Attorney) filed a private prosecution against the parents of Madeleine McCann for child neglect. TruthForMadeleine fully supports Tony in his "Truth For Madeleine Campaign".

This campaign was inspired by the objectives in this website and has resulted in a collaborative effort. Child neglect of any description is intolerable and the most obvious fact of all is that if Madeleine McCann was properly supervised by her parents during the night of May 3, 2007, she would still be here today.

Sadly, since Tony filed his private prosecution, Leicestershire Magistrates turned down his action. Basically the court ruled that they did not have jurisdiction on the case because the incidents occurred in Portugal. Despite plenty of support for the action, we understand Tony is considering other options. (Click here for Tony's page)

BACKGROUND

On Thursday May 3, 2007, Doctors Gerry and Kate McCann drank wine at a local Tapas Bar in the Ocean Club Resort in Praia da Luz, Portugal. Their three toddlers; twins Sean and Amelie and older daughter Madeleine were allegedly sleeping in the nearby apartment 5a at the Mark Warner complex. At 10:00pm when Kate McCann went back to the apartment to check on the children, Madeleine McCann had disappeared and Kate ran back to the Tapas Bar shouting "they've taken her, they've taken her!"

What happened in the weeks and months afterwards has become one of the most compelling and complex missing person cases in history.

BABY GRACE MYSTERY

The story of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann has been more mysterious than the best Agatha Christie novels. At the end of October 2007, a girl was washed onto the beach in a plastic box near Galveston Texas. The description of this toddler matches the physical attributes of Madeleine but of course, Galveston is over 4000 miles away from Portugal (click here for our original story page).

BABY GRACE NEWS

On Sunday November 25, the Galveston Police Department tentatively identified Baby Grace as being the missing 2 year old girl Riley Sawyers from Spring, Texas. Sadly, the police seem to have solved one case but Madeleine McCann's whereabouts remain unknown. This site sends it's sincere condolences to the family of Riley Sawyers and hopes the killer(s) are brought to justice with the full extent of the law. When the DNA results are in, we will publish more on this story.

THE LAST KNOWN PHOTO OF MADELEINE

This photograph is the last known photo of Madeleine. She is sitting by the pool with her father and sister Amelie at 2:29pm on May 3, 2007. The parents issued this photo 21 days after Madeleine went missing. For some strange reason they stress that the time on the photo says 1:29pm but the actual time was 2:29pm because the clock in their camera was out by an hour as a result of daylight saving time just over a month before this date. Why would they issue this photo three weeks after their daughter went missing? (Click here for detailed theory)

This and other reasons is why the Madeleine McCann Case needs some truth. Sadly there has been more spin than truth but hopefully the authorities will be able to establish what really happened on the night of May 3, 2007.
