Sgt Mitchell's PR Spinning Band?

by Stevo 1/21/2008 9:28:00 AM

The latest press conference by Clarence Mitchell showed he is capable of one thing: That he can operate Microsoft Power Point.

The latest "abductor" drawing from an FBI certified artist is beyond a joke. The witness described the man wearing one type of jacket and the artist drew something completely different. It beggars belief.

An article in the Daily Mail from witness Gail Cooper says, "Describing one encounter, the 50-year-old said: "He seemed really strange. "It was a warm afternoon, but he was wearing khakis or joggers, a T-shirt and a bomber jacket. "He said he was collecting for an orphanage in nearby Espiche that was caring for three children whose parents had been killed in an accident on the main coast road. "It just didn't add up. Everyone would have known if there'd been a tragedy like that.

I say this to Ms Cooper: Do you not think that the man probably thought you seemed really strange? How does his choice of clothing link him to the Madeleine McCann disappearance?

Mr Mitchell, when will you stop this charade? When will you finally realise that your ship is sinking faster than the Titanic? Your PR spinning tactics are a total disgrace.

A Glaswegian Called Jones

by Stevo 1/4/2008 3:52:00 PM

Today I thought I'd call the Madeleine Fund and ask questions about the company because I'm not satisfied with the way they are spending donated funds. I didn't get very far. The media telephone number listed on the Find Madeleine Fund website went through to a voice message system that gave an alternate mobile number for Clarence Mitchell.

I tried Bates Wells - the company solicitors. That proved useless as well and all I got was a voice mail recording telling me that the person I wanted was out of the office. Finally I tried calling John McCann. After getting the addresses of the directors of the Fund, it was possible to obtain some phone numbers of the directors. The information is in the public domain so could hardly be classed as prying or invading privacy. As a customer of the company, I figured it would be a normal thing to do to ask for the complaints department as I wasn't happy with the way things were being handled. Plus, as a bona fide customer it doesn't seem unreasonable to ask for updates on how things are progressing with the money being spent on trying to find Madeleine. After all, that's why it was donated.

I got through to John McCann. Or at least I got through to the person who has the same number as him. I could hear football on the TV in the background. This was a good sign - John McCann is affiliated with an amateur football team in the Glasgow area. He listened. I talked. I said I was interested in getting information on the Madeleine Fund. He said "this is a private residence". He asked what I wanted again. I told him again. He repeated that it was a private residence and he also said that he was a "Jones".

In short, I got nowhere.

But later on I pondered why he told me he was called Jones. When you want to make up a name on the spot, don't you use the name "Smith"? Isn't that the defacto false name?

I thought so.

Since when has a Glaswegian had a WELSH name?

Arguido Status

by Stevo 12/31/2007 5:57:00 PM

On Monday December 31, 2007, the Daily Mail reported that two sisters claimed they saw Robert Murat by apartment 5A on the night of May 3. Click here for the article. Why would two sisters come forward with these revelations after almost 8 months? More interestingly, the McCanns priority is for their status as arguidos to be lifted. Hmmmm...what happened to the priority of finding their missing daughter?

Get Rich Quick Scheme?

by Stevo 12/31/2007 5:21:00 PM

The Madeleine Fund has raised well over £1,000,000 and some estimate that the company has raised £2,000,000. The money initially seemed to be going nowhere as the total kept rising with none of it being spent. Soon after the McCanns were made suspects in the disappearance of their daughter, they embarked on a spending campaign which seemed to be the best way to waste money as fast as it was earned. Enter Metodo 3 - the Spanish private detective agency with no track record in finding missing children. Instead of providing a freephone number for the public to call with information, Madeleine's Fund: Leaving No Stone Unturned Limited provided a premium rate telephone number, thus earning more money for the company with each possible lead in the search for Madeleine. No wonder that Metodo 3 were moving in to new plush offices in Barcelona in December after earning a reputed £50,000 per month for six months.

Have Metodo 3 done anything to find Madeleine? Well, considering that the police are already looking for Madeleine and the McCanns have failed to answer many of the PJ's questions, it is unclear how Metodo 3 could have any more success than official agencies. On the face of it, Metodo 3 are the most unlikely company one would recruit to find a missing person. Metodo 3 boss Francisco Marco claimed he'd reunite Madeleine with her family by Christmas. Clearly he didn't mean Christmas 2007!

Did everyone who donated to the fund realise they would be contributing to the McCann family living expenses while the two doctors earn in the region of £120,000 per annum?

Coronation Street Connections?

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:58:00 PM

Different eras perhaps. Left is Elsie Tanner and right is Jane Tanner. Both are associated with works of fiction. Actress Pat Phoenix starred for many years in Coronation Street and is pictured here with actor Tony Booth. The similarities continue in the McCann case with Tapas 9 eyewitness Jane Tanner pictured here with billionaire McCann benefactor Richard Branson. Pat Phoenix entertained millions in the long running soap opera and Jane Tanner is looking to do that with her various ever-changing eye witness testimonies about men with egg shaped heads and swarthy men of varying height carrying mysterious bundles in the night. With real-life characters more colourful than any fictional characters in TV soap operas, perhaps Ms Tanner has some hidden acting talents after her appearance on BBC's Panorama.

Madeleine's Law

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:38:00 PM

TRUTH FOR MADELEINE CAMPAIGN - MADELEINE'S LAW

TruthForMadeleine and UK solicitor Tony Bennett are in the process of initiating what we hope will become "Madeleine's Law". The aim of this law and campaign is simple: Child neglect by way of abandonment is totally unacceptable. Whether the abandonment is temporary in nature or long term, the harm done to children and particularly young children is psychologically damaging. This kind of neglect should not be tolerated.

We have 2 slogans for the campaign (use either phrase):

MADELEINE'S LAW

1. Never Leave Young children Alone.

2. Never Leave Young children On Their Own.

Father Christmas Portuguese Style

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:30:00 PM

Sadly, this Portuguese Santa didn't make it to Rothley. Hopefully he'll bring his own box of tricks in 2008. Truth For Madeleine wishes the PJ the best of luck in all their cases in 2008 and hopes they keep Portugal safe and pleasant for years to come. As a British citizen I am appalled at the treatment of the Portuguese police force by the irresponsible British media. I sincerely hope the Portuguse police end up having the last laugh.

Clarence Mitchell Testcard

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:19:00 PM

Clarence Mitchell. PR Front man for the McCann publicity and misinformation bureau. Clarence Mitchell reminds me of the Black Knight in Monty Python's Holy Grail. After having all limbs chopped off, the Black Knight defiantly said it was a "mere flesh wound". Mr Mitchell, I suggest you depart the sinking ship before you go down with it and all on board. And I hope you realise that by wearing a pink shirt in every single photograph, you will make yourself the butt of many jokes by British comedians. Next time you're driving up the M1 to Rothley Manor, you can buy some new shirts at Leicester Forest East Services. The pink shirts do you no favours at all. Here's a suggestion for a better job than the one you're doing now and technically it's still in the media!

Mr Rebelo's New Year Message?

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:11:00 PM

After almost 8 months, it is time for the PJ to have some success in finding out what happened to poor little Madeleine McCann. As Big Ben strikes midnight and heralds the start of a new year, let's hope that early in the new year, the PJ can end their investigation and bring charges agains the people who "let poor Madeleine down" in May 2007.

Bundleman Exposed?

by Stevo 12/31/2007 4:04:00 PM

Bridget O'Donnell wrote an article for the Guardian where she described her week in Praia da Luz with her partner Jeremy "Jes" Wilkins and their baby. Ms O'Donnell is unlikely to be a serious competitor to the likes of J. K. Rowling, but her story did reveal some new facts which most of the public probably didn't know. Of course, that is if Ms O'Donnell is telling the whole truth.

After seeing Ms O'Donnell's photograph in the Guardian, it did occur to me that she looked amazingly like Jane Tanner's "Bundleman".

Look at the photo and make your own mind up. Did Ms O'Donnell go out to see what was taking Jes so long?
